Community
The communities comprised of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View and Sunnyvale are like the fictional town of Mayberry from the Andy Griffith Show, starring Andy Griffith, Don Knotts, a young Ron Howard, and Frances Bavier as Aunt Bee. Although we live in Silicon Valley, the technology epicenter of the world, there is a wonderful sense of connection and community here in the Mayberry of Silicon Valley.
This is a community characterized by tight knit neighborhoods, excellent schools, and strong family values. Residents are invested in the community and there are many family activities, clubs, youth theater, and youth sports leagues to experience together.
Here you will find the connection that people crave in this fast paced and over-scheduled society.
I love that some of my closest friends are the parents of our kids’ best friends in the neighborhood.
We vacation together, celebrate birthdays (for the kids AND their parents), and support each other through sad times. We enjoy traditions like Annual Neighborhood Picnics, Halloween Trick-Or-Treating, Pet Parades, Holiday Parades on Main Street, Art & Wine Festivals, Walk-A-Thon’s, Relay for Life, and many others.
